Are you guilty?
Be prepared for anything

As you know, there’s nothing worse than a ride being cut short due to a mechanical issue. Do you have the spares you need or are you guilty of rolling the dice and hoping for the best?

Whether you’re a gravel grinder, road racer, or trail lover, some basic spares will help you ride worry-free. Here’s what you cannot ride without:

- A saddle bag or spare box to store your essentials.
- Tyre levers to get your tyre off the rim.
- Spare Co2 canister, canister fitting, and hand pump.
- A spare tube (even if you’re tubeless).
- A multitool with a chain breaker and spare chain link.
- Puncture repair tool and plugs.

Let us know which of these you don’t carry on your rides.

If you have space to carry duct tape and a cable tie or two, you’ll be surprised how many times it’ll get you home. You can store cable ties in your handlebar or spares box or bag, and duct tape (or insulation tape) can be wrapped around your seat post or spare tube.
