Is your suspension sag, rebound and compression set up correctly on your bike? If it isn’t, or you don’t know what these things are, you need to come into the store for a suspension setup.
The amount of “give” your suspension has when you sit on your bike in a stationary position. Ideally, your sag should be between 25% – 35% (a quarter to a third of your suspension).
The speed at which your suspension recovers (or re-extends) after absorbing shock or an obstacle. If your rebound is too fast, it can bounce you right off your bike.
If you don’t have enough compression damping, you’ll “bob” up and down with every pedal stroke. Too much and your suspension will be too stiff. Compression is very much up to personal preference.
Did you know that certain saddles are designed with extra shock-absorbing features? Be it in the cushioning of the actual seat, or built-in shock-absorbing rails, the correct saddle won’t only be comfortable on your sit bones, it’ll reduce road shock as well.
Make sure your suspension is set up correctly for your weight, riding style, and for your bike. We’ll help you get comfortable, go further and go faster. Send us a booking request below.
