Saddle up
Your knees will thank you

Have you ever experienced knee pain during your pedal stroke? One of the main reasons for this is incorrect saddle height. Even if you aren’t experiencing any knee pain, when your saddle is too low or too high it’s only a matter of time. The good news is that we can quickly and easily set you up with the perfect saddle height. And while we’re at it, we’ll also have a look at your saddle shape, tilt and fore-aft position.

TOO LOW

This increases the angle at the top of your pedal stroke, pushing more force through your knee as you begin the downstroke. This can lead to a sharp pain around or behind the knee cap, called patellofemoral pain syndrome.

TOO HIGH

This causes your leg to overextend at the bottom of your pedal stroke, which puts unnecessary strain on your connective tissues that can lead to iliotibial band (ITB) syndrome.

The poor posture and pelvic misalignment caused by an incorrect saddle and saddle height can also lead to lower back pain, which affects your mobility off the bike as well.

A comfortable ride is a saddle fit away

There’s a lot to consider when it comes to your saddle but it’s one of the most important parts of your bike setup. We’ll help you find your perfect saddle, and we’ll make sure it’s set at the correct height and tilt for you.
